Mazama charges into Skyline wrestling lead KLAMATH FALLS -- The Mazama Vikings never came close to winning a Southern Oregon Conference wrestling championship. But the Vikings are on track to win a Skyline Conference crown in their first attempt. Mazama dropped down to the Class 4A SOC after 19 years in the Class 3A Skyline last fall. The Vikings piled up a 122-94 lead over Phoenix, which has won 17 of the past 19 conference titles and every one since 1991. Mazama advanced 11 men into today's semifinals, while the Pirates sent nine.
