Kelley leads Cascade Christian past Lost River Laural Kelley brought near perfection to the mound for the Cascade Christian softball team during a doubleheader with Lost River on Friday. Kelley's no-hitter in a 4-1 victory during Game 1 and her four-hit, eight-inning performance in the 2-1, nightcap win lifted the Challengers to 4-0 in the Southern Cascade League. "She pitched very well," said Cascade Christian coach Wally Nye. "The game was so intense I didn't even realize she had a no-hitter until now." Kelley struck out seven and allowed just one run during the opener. Natalie Dicus tripled home a run then scored on an infield hit during a two-run first inning. Hannah Gettman followed suit in the second with an RBI triple and a run scored off an infield out. In Game 2, Kelley allowed four hits and only a solo home run to Lost River's Courtney Talbot in the sixth inning. Dicus led off the eighth with a single and moved to second on Rusti Mosser's third hit of the game. After moving runners to second and third on an infield out, Chelsea Winner laced a line-drive hit to rightfield for the game-winner. Whitney Brookins had two of the nine hits for the Challengers, who improved to 9-6 overall.
