Talent man wins $1,500 on game show TALENT Richard Pudder didnt make a million on "Powerball: The Game Show," but he said he had a good time. The 65-year-old Talent retiree came home with $1,500 after appearing on the game show, taped in Hollywood on Sept. 25. Pudder had to keep quiet about how he fared until the show broadcast Sunday evening on KOBI-TV Channel 5. Pudder won the trip to California after Oregon lottery officials drew his name from submissions of Powerball scratch-it tickets that had the word "Entry" underneath the red bonus ball. His wife, Janet, 55, accompanied him on the trip, which was paid for by the Oregon Lottery. Pudder appeared on the show with nine other contestants, each representing one of the 10 states that offer the Powerball lotto game. The biggest winner was a man from Connecticut who won $50,000, Pudder said. Each contestant also played to win cash prizes for "home partners" who had entered the same drawing. Pudders efforts earned $150 for 10 partners in Oregon, he said. His own prize money will help pay off bills. Pudder said the experience was fun and hed like to do it again. He buys Powerball tickets about once or twice a week. "They get kinda spendy," he said. "The tickets are $3 apiece."
