Tuesday Oct 25, 2016 at 9:49 AM Oct 25, 2016 at 3:54 PM Rogue Disposal & Recycling will begin collecting bags of fallen leaves for Medford residents at no additional charge Nov. 7 through Dec. 30. The company will send out a collection truck each week, picking up bags of leaves in designated zones. The northern zone, which includes everything in the city north of West Main and East Main streets and Hillcrest Road, will have leaves collected Nov. 7-11, Nov. 28 to Dec. 2 and Dec. 19-23. Leaves will be collected in the rest of the city Nov. 14-18, Dec. 5-9 and Dec. 26-30. Residents must put their leaves in heavy-duty plastic bags no larger than 33 gallons. The bags should be left on the curb in a public right-of-way or off the roadway about eight feet from the pavement if they do not have a curb. Rogue Disposal will not provide leaf bags. There is no limit to the number of bags that can be set out. Leaf collection will not necessarily coincide with trash day. The bags can't have tree branches, lawn clippings or other yard debris. The bags should weigh less than 40 pounds each and must be sealed or tied to prevent water from getting in. Anyone within the Medford city limits is eligible for leaf pickup.
