Gloria Evonne Haines Wednesday Feb 1, 2017 at 2:00 AM December 21, 1944 - January 29, 2017 Gloria Evonne Haines passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 with her children by her side. Born December 21, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Jae and Alice Collver (both deceased), Gloria moved with her family in 1954 to Ashland, Oregon. There she grew up with her three brothers, Ivan, Leon, and Rollie (deceased) and two sisters, Dian and Donna (deceased). After graduating from Ashland Sr. High School, Gloria married Wally Haines. They moved and made their home in Medford where they had two children, Sheryl and Michael (married to Christi). Not only a devoted wife and loving mother, Gloria was very good with numbers and did the bookkeeping for the family business. She later made her career as the payroll clerk of the Eagle Point School District, retiring after 28 years. Gloria had many joys such as softball, gardening, cooking, and bird watching, but she truly loved to spend time with family. She especially adored and spoiled two grandchildren, Ciann and Brandon. Our dear mother will truly be missed. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Scenic Hills Cemetery, 2585 East Hills Road, Ashland, Ore. A celebration of her life and potluck will follow the service at 4:00 pm at 176 Perrydale, Medford, Ore.
