Medford police Friday arrested Riley on two counts of third-degree rape, three counts of third-degree sodomy and a parole violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. Theft — Gregory Aaron Unger, 34, of the 1300 block of Sweet Road, Medford. Medford police Friday arrested Unger on two counts of first-degree theft. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $10,000 bail. Assault — Omar Hernandez, 23, of the 1800 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police Saturday arrested Hernandez on charges of harassment, two counts of fourth-degree felony assault and suspicion of being in the country illegally. He was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Michael Steven Anderson, 28, of the 300 block of Meadow Slope Street, Talent. Medfofd police Saturday arrested Anderson on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $5,000 bail. Assault — Matthew Jacks Bonilla, 24, of the 300 block of Fairmount Street, Medford. Medford police Saturday arrested Bonilla on charges of fourth-degree felony assault, fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $12,000 bail. Assault — Carlos Valencia Chavez, 26, of the 600 block of Berrydale Avenue, Medford. Medford police Saturday arrested Chavez on charges of fourth-degree felony assault, reckless driving, harassment and reckless endangering. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $15,000 bail. Fire calls Applegate Fire Department officials are investigating the cause of a barn fire Friday night in the 11000 block of North Applegate Road near the Josephine/Jackson county line. When fire crews arrived at around 7 p.m. the barn was fully involved. No other structures were threatened, officials said. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, though the barn was destroyed.
