Snowboard trip probe goes to Clackamas D.A. A police investigation into accusations that Medford snowboarding coaches gave alcohol and marijuana to students has been forwarded to the Clackamas County district attorney. It could take a week or more for District Attorney John Foote to decide whether to file charges, Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputy Angie Blanchard said Monday. Completed last week by Medford police, the 20- to 30-page report went to the sheriff's office before being sent to the district attorney. It concluded a nearly two-month investigation and detailed accusations against Sean Crosby, 30, of Medford, and William Carl Peterson, 22, and Brendan Patrick Boynton, 24, both of Ashland. Police said students cleared head coach Crosby of misconduct; school district officials concurred. Hired by the Medford Ski Education Association, the men coached the North Medford High School snowboarding team. Medford and Ashland school district officials asked police to investigate parent complaints that coaches furnished students with alcohol and marijuana while at a private lodge near Mount Hood Meadows.
