The National Weather Service said Rogue Valley residents, especially those on the valley's south end, should brace for power outages and falling trees. Motorists should be prepared for slick roads at lower elevations and some snow in the higher passes. The agency reported that the strongest activity will be during the morning, but that winds should continue through the afternoon. Snow levels will lower from about 6,000 feet Thursday afternoon to about 3,500 to 4,000 feet Thursday night. Up to four inches of snow is expected to fall on parts of Dead Indian Memorial Road and at Lake of the Woods between 4 a.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday, with up to two inches at the Siskiyou Summit. Up to a foot is expected at Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. Down in the valley, up to three-tenths of an inch of rain is expected. Up to three inches is forecast to fall farther west in the coastal mountains of Curry County. — Ryan Pfeil MailTribune.com Writer Posted Dec. 1, 2015 @ 3:50 pm Updated at 3:53 PM » Comment or view comments Terms of Service /* $( document ).ready(function() { // Jquery mobile is trying to style the button and leaving a blank gry button on top of a white button $("#viafouracoms .vf-comment-controls li.vf-right").html(' Submit '); });*/ » STAY INFORMED Email NewsLetter Sign Up Today Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox. calendar Connect with MailTribune.com Facebook Twitter RSS Back to top Reader Services Reader Services Home Subscriptions Subscriber controls Contact us Submissions Photos Events Letters to the editor Corrections Announcements Obituaries Story ideas Since you asked Alerts Email Alerts RSS Feeds Text Alerts Advertise Media Kit Home Products and services Ad rates Advertising contacts Propel Marketing Mail Tribune Daily Tidings The Nickel Shop Our Valley Blogs Mobile Site Stay Informed Email newsletter Sign Up Today Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox.
