Medford police arrested Overstreet Friday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and on warrants charging failure to appear on previous charges of methamphetamine possession and driving while suspended. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Friday and released Saturday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Marci Lynne Curtis, 47, of the 5500 block of Highway 238, Jacksonville. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Curtis Friday on felony charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing methamphetamine and for violating her parole on a previous meth distribution conviction. She was lodged in jail Friday without bail. Sex Offender Registration — Thomas Carl Ruth, 48, no known address. Medford police arrested Ruth Friday on felony charges of failing to register as a sex offender and methamphetamine possession, and on warrants charging failure to appear in court on two previous counts of meth possession and four previous counts of failing to register as a sex offender. He was booked in the jail Friday and released Saturday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Miguel Francisco Villa, 28, of the 200 block of West Evans Creek Road, Rogue River. Medford police arrested Villa Friday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and for violating his parole on a first-degree burglary conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail. Assault — Terry Lynn White, 51, of the 100 block of Mace Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Mace Friday on a felony charge of fourth-degree domestic violence assault, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was booked in the jail Friday and released Saturday after he posted bail. Drugs — Joseph Wade Shelton, 28, of the 900 block of Narregan Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Shelton Saturday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and a misdemeanor charge of interfering with police. He was booked in the jail and released Saturday on his own recognizance. Coercion — Fredrick Alestine Goodenough III, 25, of the 1200 block of Morrow Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Goodenough Saturday on a felony charge of coercion, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree domestic violence assault and harassment. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $20,000 bail. Forgery — Ira Dean Carney, 57, of the 100 block of West Vilas Road, Central Point. Medford police arrested Carney Saturday on felony charges of first-degree forgery, first-degree possession of a forged instrument and methamphetamine possession, and for violating his parole on a previous meth possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Saturday without bail. Burglary — Jordon Lee Hagerty, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Hagerty Saturday on felony charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree theft, and on out-of-county warrants charging failure to appear in court on charges of second-degree theft and heroin possession. He was booked in the jail and released Saturday. Drugs — Brett Devon Burns, 27, no known address. Eagle Point police arrested Burns Saturday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and on warrants charging failure to appear in court on previous charges of third-degree robbery, methamphetamine possession, second- and third-degree criminal mischief, menacing, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, theft of services, third-degree theft and second-degree trespassing. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $36,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — Medford police took a report of a stolen jackhammer at 12:16 p.m. Friday in the area of North Phoenix and East Barnett roads. The loss was valued at $1,700.
