Mustangs sweep Spartans Oct 22, 2017 12:00 AM A A The Ogden Mustangs defeated the Southern Oregon Spartans, 9-1, during Western States Hockey League action at The RRRink on Sunday. Joel Holmberg had the goal for Southern Oregon (1-11), which has lost nine straight. Matus Spodniak recorded two goals and two assists for the Mustangs (11-3), who outshot the Spartans, 44-22. Men's Soccer CHEMEKETA COMMUNITY COLLEGE 2, ROGUE 0: Jack Cuevas had the go-ahead goal in the 43rd minute for Chemeketa Community College during Northwest Athletic Conference play Saturday. The loss to Chemeketa (2-7-4, 2-4-3 NWAC) dropped the Ospreys (7-2-1, 6-1-1) to second place in the South Division, trailing Portland. Women's Soccer ROGUE COMMUNITY COLLEGE 1, CLACKAMAS 1: Rogue Community College's Haley Janky netted the tying goal on a Krystal Van Dyke assist in the 75th minute during Northwest Athletic Conference action. The Ospreys (3-6-3, 3-4-3 NWAC) were eliminated from playoff contention with the result against Clackamas (8-3-3, 6-2-3). Goalkeeper Lilly Barrett collected 12 saves.
