Gas station robbery is latest in string of Medford holdups A gas station was the latest target in a string of robberies in Medford. Police responded to a robbery report at 2:07 a.m. Tuesday at Gas 4 Less, 2232 Biddle Road. A man had confronted a gas station attendant and demanded money; though the man said he was armed, no weapon was seen. The employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of money. The man fled and got into the passenger side of a waiting car and was driven away. The robber is described as a white man, 18 to 19 years old, 6-feet-1 to 6-feet-2, and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. His hair color is unknown. He was last seen wearing a black leather coat and a black hooded sweatshirt, and the car he got into is described as a large, white, late '70s to early '80s two-door sedan with unknown license plates. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Detective Bill Ford at 774-2236 or 774-2230. Other targets of robbers in Medford in the last few weeks include a bank, a tanning salon, a woman leaving a nightclub, an employee outside an athletic club and a man leaving a store at Medford Center. Lt. Tim George of the Medford Police Department said Tuesday he didn't know if the gas station robbery was connected to others.
