And you’re right about the meaning. Urbandictionary.com, which spells it "bupkis," says the five-star definition is, "Nothing, zero, zilch." The word is Yiddish, a combination of German, Hebrew and Slavic languages long used in Eastern European Jewish communities and spread by Jewish emigrants around the world.
