Core Business, which has offices in Eugene and Portland, was No. 283 on the list. It was one of four Oregon companies on the list, and the lone firm based south of Portland. Managed service providers such as Core Business Services help small and medium-sized businesses by managing their technology systems. Technology systems are their networks, desktops, email, phone, firewall and infrastructure components. It was the fifth straight year Core Business Services made the list, which debuted in 2008. Core Business Services was No. 378 in 2015. Revenue, growth and other data was collected online from March through April 2016 to determine rankings. Ag Dept. seeks data, coverage sign-ups The U.S. Agriculture Department is asking producers to report their spring plantings and sign up for Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs. The deadline for the Spring Acre Reporting is July 15. Enrollment for the economic protection programs is Aug. 1. To make an appointment, call Teresa Vonn at 541-664-1070, ext. 2, or email Teresa.vonn @or.usda.gov Foreclosures decline in Medford area Real estate analytics firm CoreLogic reports Medford-area foreclosures declined 0.59 percent in March to 1.54 percent of outstanding loans. The March 2015 foreclose rate was 2.13 percent. Even with the improvement, local foreclosure activity remained above the national level of 1.09 percent. The Medford-area mortgage delinquency rate decreased to 3.29 percent in March from 4.2 percent a year ago. Mortgage loans are considered delinquent after 90 days. Ashland Food Co-op doles out grants Ashland Food Co-op is donating $24,040 to 32 area nonprofit organizations through its Community Grant program. There are four categories for grants: Environmental stewardship, environmental/sustainability education, food and nutrition education programs, and food or supportive services for people in need. The maximum grant is $1,500. The awardees were: Ashland Food Angels, Southern Oregon Education Service District Migrant Education Program, ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum, Klamath Bird Observatory, SVTG/Southern Slow Money, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley, Options for Homeless Residents of Ashland, North Mountain Park Nature Center; Natives of One Wind Indigenous Alliance and Red Earth Descendants, Children's Advocacy Center of Jackson County, Rogue River School District, Outdoor Discovery Program Parent Advisory Committee, Multicultural Association of Southern Oregon/KSKQ Community Radio, Rogue Community College Foundation, ACCESS, Ashland Middle School's Rain and Fire-Wise Garden, Civil Liberties Defense Center, Asante Ashland Community Hospital, Pacifica Garden in the Siskiyous, Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center Southern Oregon Regional Environmental Education Leaders, Bellview Grange, White Oak Farm and Education Center, Lotus Rising Project, Bee Girl, Ashland Middle School Composting Project, Siskiyou Field Institute, Southern Oregon University Foundation, Family Nurturing Center, Southern Oregon Land Conservancy, Rose Circle Mentoring Network, Rogue Climate, Lomakatsi Restoration Project, and Oregon Honey Festival.
