Can the powers that be at Since You Asked help me? — Austin C., Medford We can tell you this much, every state in union participated in the deal where AT&T Mobility LLC resolved allegations that it placed charges for third-party services on cellphone bills not previous authorized by consumers. The unauthorized charges, known as mobile cramming typically cost customers $9.99 monthly for a premium text message subscription, which delivered unrequested trivia, sports scores horoscopes. Under the terms of the settlement, AT&T Mobility is required to provide $80 million in funds to be used to administer and pay refunds. Consumers can submit claims under the AT&T Mobility cramming refund program by going to www.ftc.gov/att. If you are unsure about your eligibility for a refund, contact the Claims Administrator at 1-877-819-9692.
