RAIDER ROUNDUP: Addie ties career goals record By SOU Sports Information Updated: Aug 23, 2022 09:07 PM A A SAN DIMAS, Calif. — Noah Addie tied Southern Oregon University’s career goals record and Sam Walker pulled off a hat trick as the Raiders eased into the soccer season with a 9-0 win over Life Pacific (Calif.) on Tuesday afternoon at San Dimas High. Addie and Walker deposited two goals apiece in the first half and the Raiders never stopped rolling. They fired 36 shots to LPU’s one and put 25 on target. Lucas Morais, Omar Ramirez and Alexander Strom scored the first goals of their SOU careers. Evan Norconk had a goal and an assist. Senior defender Zak Woolley distributed two assists in the opening four minutes — marking his first-ever multi-assist performance — and Izaiha Bruce and Tybalt Thornberry were also credited with helpers. Addie, a senior from Portland, elevated his goals total to 21 over 66 career games, matching the work done by Carlos Magana from 2016-18. Walker, a junior from Scotland, registered the ninth three-goal game in team history. The scores gave him 12 in his career. LPU was playing its first game in 17 months. Women’s Soccer HOPE INTERNATIONAL 2, SOU 1: At Irvine, California, Southern Oregon senior forward Sarah Mauk connected for her first goal of the season and the 15th in her career, but by the time she struck in the 82nd minute the Raiders had already fallen into a two-goal hole in Monday’s game. It was the last shot they’d muster, and they faced a 15-7 deficit in attempts for the game. HIU’s Sarah Ralston broke a scoreless tie in the 57th minute and Olga Luna tacked one on in the 81st, both getting clean looks from point-blank range. Keyla Fragoso and Ryley Candelario were credited with assists. Mia Santander found Mauk with a clear path to the box, and she brought it in for a 10-yard strike that crossed keeper Haley Slouka from right to left. Slouka finished with three saves, and SOU’s Jessie Selby had four.
