Heath also was fourth in the 200 free and swam on two relays that placed second. The meet featured 182 teams and more than 2,000 swimmers from Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. Heath won the 100-yard free with a time of 49.24 seconds, and was second in the 200 in 1:49.47. The Phoenix High senior also teamed with Michael Heckert, Dash King and Tolga Tokman on three relays. They were second in the 200 and 400 frees with marks of 1:33.90 and 3:27.76, respectively, and fifth in the 200 medley in 1:48.78. Advertisement Superior Aquatics placed 21st in the team standings. Jamie Buckley, 50 free (25.87), 100 free (57.16), 200 free (2:07.18). Anya Martinez, 200 back (2:20.90), 500 free (5:33.84), 200 free (2:04.33), 100 back (1:05.45), 100 free (57.82). Gabe Deen, 50 back (33.00), 100 breast (1:24.21), 50 fly (32.44), 100 fly (1:16.94). Ryken Robbins, 100 back (1:06.76), 100 free (59.82), 50 fly (32.41), 50 back (30.58). Sarah Reierson, 50 back (35.34). Dash King, 50 free (24.08). Gymnastics Caitlin Carlini and Allie D’Inzillo of the Southern Oregon Gymnastics Academy claimed state titles at the state optional championship meet last week in Bend. Carlini won the Level 7 vault in the 13-year-old age group with a score of 9.575 out of a possible 10.0. She also took fourth in the bars, fourth in the floor exercise and fourth in all-around with a score of 37.2. America’s Best Kids Sports Center of Medford also crowned a pair of champions. Medford’s Chad Thomas, 14, won the Level 7 boys floor exercise with a 9.4. Central Point’s Erica Guches, 13, won the Level 9 vault in the 13-14 girls age group with a score of 9.05 out of a possible 9.5. Golf Chris Daggitt notched his first-ever hole-in-one on the 364-yard, par-4 14th hole at Cedar Links Golf Course on Mar. 17. Daggitt used a driver. The shot was witnessed by Don Grove Jr. Dee Ide aced the No. 5 hole at Cedar Links on Saturday. Ide used an 8-iron on the 165-yard, par-3 hole. The shot was witnessed by Steve Davis, Jim Bullen, Brooks Hodapp and Scott Van Wey. Chris Avgeris recorded his first hole-in-one Thursday on the 145-yard 12th hole at Stone Ridge Golf Course. Avgeris, who has been playing for only six months, used an 8-iron. His playing partners were Jerry Richardson, John Campoy and Robert Burkett. Bowling Jerry Smith and Bruce Snook each rolled 298 games recently at Lava Lanes. Steve Rennick converted 11 straight strikes for a 290 game and finished with an 813 series at Lava Lanes.
