Sushi bar will tuck in next to Craterian Jan 25, 2011 12:00 AM A A I noticed some activity around the former wine shop by the Craterian while I was driving downtown recently. Any hint as to what's going on? — Shane S., via e-mail Japanese food lovers will double their pleasure soon. The venue in the back corner of Vogel Plaza, adjacent to the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater, will soon be spun into a sushi bar, joining the long-standing Oh's in providing Japanese fare in downtown Medford. Tae Han, who has operated Bonsai Teriyaki in Ashland for the past five years, hopes to open Misoya Sushi & Teriyaki in March. The restaurant will operate seven days a week, offering lunch and dinner. The location across Theatre Alley from the Craterian has most recently been home to Corks wine bar and before that was occupied by a sandwich shop. Because of its past use, the changes to the building are cosmetic. The task at hand, Han says, is making a fish bar counter. Send questions to "Since You Asked," Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
