Tredway tied for 13th at golf tourney JUNCTION CITY Ashlands Andrew Tredway has had quite an experience so far in the $400,000 BUY.COM Oregon Classic golf tournament at the Shadow Hills Country Club. Tredway, a June graduate of the University of Oregon, is tied for 13th place after three rounds. He shot a 4-under par 68 Saturday to go to 5-under 211 for the tournament. Tredway plays professionally on the North Atlantic Tour. He missed his original flight to Oregon for Mondays tournament qualifier because of an 11-hole playoff on the satellite tour event, which he lost. After catching a later flight and making it here on time, Tredway ended up garnering one of 14 spots open to qualifiers for the 72-hole tournament. There were 140 players who tried to qualify. Once in the field, Tredway made the 36-hole cut to the top 60 players (plus ties) out of the 156-player field. If Tredway finishes in the top 25 at the Oregon Classic, he will be eligible for the next BUY.COM tour event in Monterey, Calif., the following week. Keoke Cotner fired a 7-under Saturday to take over the tournament lead with a 12-under 204. Cotner holds a one stroke advantage over Jody Bellflower entering todays final round.
