Challengers fall shy in wrestling Jan 28, 2015 12:00 AM A A Max Valle scored a pair of decisions for Cascade Christian in a pair of dual-meet matchups with La Pine and Illinois Valley on Tuesday at Cascade Christian High. La Pine won the matchup 48-15, while Illinois Valley topped the Challengers 40-3 in Class 3A action. Max Valle earned a 6-1 decision over La Pine’s Tristan Wilson at 106 pounds and eked out a 2-1 decision over Christian Engles of Illinois Valley to secure his sweep. Luke Valle scored a pin in 5:24 over La Pine’s Austin Russell at 126 and Gunnar Thompson received a forfeit at 120 for Cascade Christian’s only other points scored in the forfeit-heavy duals.
