She was born April 15, 1922 in American Fork, Utah. Elizabeth grew up in American Fork. She moved to Long Beach, Calif. in 1939, where she met her husband, James Cox. She resided in the Southern California area until 1966 when she and her family moved to Medford, Ore. Elizabeth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving others with her husband. She was very involved in church with music, as a dance instructor with her husband, served a mission in West Virginia in her later life, and served at her church's welfare center in White City, Ore. They were also members of the Twirlers Club. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah McDowell of Portland, Ore. and Rollie Leavitt of Medford, Ore.; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many others who considered her "Mom" and "Grandma". A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, in the Relief Society Room at the church, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m., at the Bellinger LDS Chapel at 3456 Bellinger Lane, Medford, Ore. Arrangements are under the direction of Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford.
