Wilson Elementary School, one of 65 addresses under an advisory to boil water by the Medford Water Commission because of a broken water main, will remain open Tuesday and have bottled water for students to drink, according to a Medford Water Commission news release. Cafeteria food will be prepared at North Medford High School and transported to Wilson Elementary until the advisory is lifted. Custodial staff have covered and taped off drinking fountains. "As a precaution, because the school experienced a loss of water pressure, the district is advising students and staff to not drink water from the faucets or fountains, to not use water for any food preparation and to not wash fruit or vegetables until the water can be tested and verified to be safe," a Medford School District news release said. A break Monday on a 6-inch water main on Corona Avenue near Grand Avenue affected addresses on Corona Avenue, Miracle Lane, Johnson Street and Gayety Lane.
