Jackson County sheriff’s deputies stopped Pritchett’s car for a traffic violation on Blackwell Road Friday night and found methamphetamine and packaging for selling the drug, a police report said. Deputies arrested him on charges of possession and delivery of amphetamines, driving under the influence of intoxicants, and five warrants charging him with failure to appear on traffic offenses. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail, where he remained Saturday night on $24,000 bail. Sexual abuse — John Stephen Mitchell, 65, of the 100 block of Prather Street, Ashland. Oregon State Police arrested Mitchell late Friday on charges of first-, second- and third- degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $1,013,000 bail. Drugs — Jason G. Cruchon, 26, of the 600 block of West Jackson Street, Medford. Deputies arrested Cruchon early Saturday morning after a short chase. He crashed through a gate in the 500 block of Parsons Drive, hit a retaining wall, struck two trees, then ran before deputies caught him. He was arrested on charges of attempting to elude police on foot and in a vehicle, possession of amphetamines, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, hit and run and reckless driving. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $33,000 bail. Theft — Tyler Dee Lippert, 29, of the 800 block of A Street, Ashland. Ashland police arrested Lippert Saturday on a first-degree theft charge. Two men who thought a bike stolen from them Friday was at Lippert’s house broke into his garage Saturday and found the bike. He confronted them and called police. The two vigilante detectives, whom police didn’t name, were cited on trespassing charges, police said. Lippert was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Mindy Lea Hanscom, 26, of the 100 block of Second Avenue, Gold Hill. Oregon State Police arrested Hanscom Saturday on charges of possession of amphetamines and first- degree child neglect. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Saturday night on $15,000 bail. Drugs — Vicki Ellen Holbrook, 45, of the 100 block of Laurel Street, Central Point. Oregon State Police arrested Holbrook Saturday on charges of possession, delivery and manufacture of amphetamines. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Saturday night on $25,000 bail. Advertisement Robbery — Dennis James Devlin, 25, no address listed. Medford police arrested Devlin Saturday on charges of third-degree robbery, third-degree theft, disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $15,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 1000 block of Highway 227, Shady Cove. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy took a report Friday of a theft of tire, wheels and a compact disc player from two of nearly 100 vehicles stored at the property as part of a business. The items reported stolen had an estimated value of $950. Fire calls Smoke report — 800 block South Oakdale Avenue, Medford. People cleaning up after a wrestling tournament smelled smoke in the South Medford High gym and called 9-1-1. Four fire trucks responded and crews searched the building for more than an hour with thermal-imaging cameras to find a hot water heater on the second floor that had scorched plywood underneath it. Damage was minimal.
