Third robbery tied to woman Jackson County sheriff's deputies Monday linked a third robbery to 21-year-old Jazmine Ann Lance. Lance, whose last known address was in Talent, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of robbing Medford's Quick Stop Market and Magic Man store Aug. 9. Monday, police added a third robbery charge. They believe she flashed a handgun and robbed a taxi-cab driver of an undisclosed amount of cash the same day the stores were robbed. Police first suspected Lance of the Quick Stop Market robbery, but on Thursday found evidence, such as bumper stickers from Magic Man, that they say connected Lance to that robbery as well. Medford police charged Lance with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and possession of methamphetamine. Sheriff deputies conducted their own investigation and Monday added charges of second-degree robbery and second-degree theft. Deputies allege Lance approached the taxi driver at 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 near Medford Mobile Estates on South Pacific Highway. She reportedly displayed a handgun and then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Lance remains lodged without bail in the Jackson County Jail. Court records show the sheriff's department charged Lance with first-degree forgery in June. The case has not gone to trial. In 1998, Medford police charged Lance with second-degree assault and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Detectives from the Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team also charged Lance with delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) in 1998. Court records show Lance pleaded guilty to all three charges, which were unrelated.
