Stained-glass sermons at Medford First Presbyterian Pastor Murray Richmond will continue his sermon series about the historic stained-glass windows in the main sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford, with "Look Up, Then Look Around" at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30. An informal service is offered at 8:30 a.m., and a traditional service with hand bell solo will be at 10:30 a.m. Call 541-779-1711. Noisy offering at Ascension Ascension Lutheran Church, 675 Black Oak Drive, Medford, will hold its service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30. Children will collect coins to support beekeeping for families in need during a noisy offering during the service. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Call 541-488-5506. Water's Edge services Water's Edge Community Church will hold its Emmaus Meal at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at the Talent library, 101 Home St., Talent. Pastor David Rapp will tell the story of a Ugandan girl who benefited from the church's Amahoro House there. The church is forming classes for its Academy of Learning, Germany program. Adult classes are for one year and culminate in a trip to Germany. A two-year teen class is also being formed, and also culminates in a trip to Germany. The church is also taking names for Justice Venture 2016 to Kampala, Uganda. Call 541-601-8651. Services at MCUCC Rev. Kurt Katzmar will give a sermon at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, 1801 E. Jackson St. At 11:30 a.m., the Health Ministry Team will give a presentation on the Lifeline program at Providence Medford Medical Center. Program coordinator of Lifeline at Providence Lora Vaccher will speak about the program, the benefits and the process of applying. A light lunch will be served. The church will show the 1997 film starring Jack Nicholson "As Good as it Gets," rated PG-13, at the Lidgate Social Hall at the church. The program is free, and popcorn will be served.
