You stated in the article that the Medford Architectural Commission had put the approval on hold until Feb. 17. Have you heard if Walgreens was approved to build? If so, do you know when we will be getting a Walgreens here in town? — S. Hargis, Klamath Falls The Medford Site Plan and Architectural Commission gave its provisional approval last month, subject to the granting of two easements by the City Council, for a 14,400-square-foot Walgreens drug store. The owners of the old Office Park property on the southeast corner of Riverside Avenue and Barnett Road are hoping to get the matter on Thursday’s City Council agenda, says spokesman Bill Mansfield. "We know the city staff will recommend it and we’re hoping the easements will be approved," Mansfield says. "But I wouldn’t mortgage the farm on it. If we don’t get the approval, then it’s back to the drawing board." Builder Russ Batzer of Batzer Inc. says he hopes drawings for the project will be completed in two or three months.
