A Medford police officer Saturday arrested Carter on a charge of tampering with drug records. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and later released because of overcrowding. Identity theft — Crystal June Neiman, 24, of the 3600 block of Clover Lane, Medford. A Medford police officer Saturday arrested Neiman on charges of identity theft, conspiracy to commit identity theft, third-degree theft, theft of services and fraudulent use of a credit card. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Saturday on $16,000 bail. Assault — Cesar Enrique Tomasino, 31, of the 6300 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Central Point. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Saturday arrested Tomasino on charges of second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained on $1,008,000 bail. Hit-and-run driving — Shane Dee Carson, 35, of the 2000 block of Camp Baker Road, Medford. A Medford police officer Saturday arrested Carson on hit-and-run driving causing injury, three counts of reckless endangering and a probation violation, along with several out-of-county warrants charging him with failure to appear in court. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $86,000 bail. Drugs — Raymond Williams, 43, of Richmond, Calif. A sheriff’s deputy Saturday arrested Williams on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail and later released because of overcrowding. Drugs — Allen Dean Sasse, 44, of the 8800 block of Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass. A Medford police officer late Friday arrested Sasse on charges of possession of cocaine and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Advertisement Crime reports Theft — 1200 Woodrow Lane, Medford. A Medford police officer Saturday took a report of a theft in which a compact-disc player and 80 compact discs valued at $1,029 were stolen. Burglary — 2700 block of Dodge Road, Eagle Point. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Saturday took a report of a burglary in which someone entered a home and stole items valued at $2,000. Burglary — 200 block of Wagon Trail Drive, Jacksonville. A sheriff’s deputy Friday took a report of a burglary in which someone entered a home and stole items valued at $1,025. Grants Pass fast-food places targeted GRANTS PASS — Dairy Queen, beware. Crooks in this city appear to be looking for fast cash from local fast-food joints. On consecutive days last week, Grants Pass police responded to a pair of fast-food restaurants to investigate an armed robbery and a bomb threat in which a caller demanded a cash delivery. Investigators do not believe the cases at Burger King in the 500 block of Rogue River Highway and McDonald’s in the 1800 block of NE Sixth Street are connected. "As far as I know, they are not related," Grants Pass police Sgt. Todd Hawley said. "It’s just one of those things." At about 1 a.m. Thursday, a rifle-toting man wearing a ski mask took a female Burger King employee at gunpoint and forced her to get money from a safe. The robber, believed to be between 20 and 22 years old, fled after taking an undisclosed amount of cash and is still on the loose, police said. Officers went to McDonald’s at about 6 p.m. Friday after a man phoned the restaurant and said a pipe bomb was in the building. The caller ordered an employee to gather all money in the business and deliver it to a nearby field, police said. Detectives searched the building after it was evacuated. No bomb was found. Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact Grants Pass police at 474-6370.
