Jackson County sheriff's deputies took a report at 1:26 p.m. Monday of the theft of miscellaneous items valued at $2,500. Vandalism — 500 block of Mason Way, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies took a report at 1:32 p.m. Monday of vandalism to a vehicle. The loss was valued at $1,050. Arrests Weapons — Donald Emery Gasperson, 53, no address available. Medford police Monday arrested Gasperson on a charge of being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was lodged Monday at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday without bail. Kidnapping — David Michael Hoover, 49, of the 17600 block of the Williams Highway, Williams. Jackson County sheriff's deputies late Sunday arrested Hoover on two counts of second-degree kidnapping and two counts of harassment as well as single counts of fourth-degree assault, strangulation and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $100,000 bail. Drugs — Christine Carole Yedziniak, 22, no address available. Medford police late Sunday arrested Yedziniak on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and for failing to appear on a third-degree theft charge. She was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where she was released Monday on her own recognizance due to overcrowding. Drugs — Jason Richard O'Neill, 19, of the 400 block of Garden Circle, Eagle Point. Eagle Point police Monday arrested O'Neill on charges of possession of methamphetamine and for failing to pay a fine for being a minor in possession of intoxicants. He was lodged Monday at the Jackson County Jail, then released on his own recognizance due to overcrowding. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 97 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its court-ordered cap of no more than 230 inmates. Of those, 27 were released before their scheduled court appearances, 10 were granted an early release from a sentence and 60 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
