Her work comprises landscape, still life and portraits and will be shown in the parlors of the Holland hotel from 2:30 to 3 o'clock. During the afternoon an informal program will be given, the excellence of which may be judged by those taking part, as follows: Mrs. Irene Hampton Isaacs, Mrs. Fred Lunge, the Misses Venita Hamilton, Florence Hazelrigg, Bess Bryan, Katherine Swen and Messrs. Ed M. Andrews, Herbert Alford, Carleton Jaynes and William Vawter. The money received on a 25 cents admission for adults and 10 cents each for school children, will be used for street tree-planting, beautifying the reservoir and other civic improvements. ASHLAND AND VICINITY A mobilization of entertainment is planned here on the occasion of celebrating the formal opening of the mineral springs project. The dates are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 3, 4 and 5. The attractions include a sweet pea festival, a children's pageant, also Shrine ceremonial and minor divertissements. The major feature, however, will be the "dedication" of the big resort project which Ashland has had under way for a year past, involving the expenditure of $200,000. Fountains and statues from the San Francisco exposition are on the way here to further embellish Lithia park, and by the dates mentioned elaborate ornamentation of the entire park and camp grounds system will be complete. Following in rapid succession will be the annual chautaqua assembly, with all the social and literary features which the gathering implies. The celebration of the springs installation will not be confined to Jackson county or even southern Oregon, inasmuch as many from outside of state boundaries have signified an intention of being present. Mrs. Ed Andrews of Medford met with the young ladies of the choral class of the civic improvement auxiliary on Tuesday evening at the library in the capacity of coach.
