Suspect sought in Ashland minivan elude, crash By Nick Morgan of the Mail Tribune Apr 23, 2020 03:16 PM A A Police are searching for a possibly armed man who allegedly crashed a minivan in the hills of Ashland early Thursday morning. Erik Troy Brown, 23, is wanted on elude and weapons charges after he allegedly eluded Ashland police at high speedsin a late '90s or early 2000s model Ford Windstar following an early morning traffic stop that ended with a crash near Glenview Drive and Terrace Street, according to a release and Ashland Chief Tighe O'Meara. At about 4:30 a.m., Ashland police stopped Brown on a traffic stop and questioned Brown about a firearm inside the vehicle, according to the release. Police say Brown eluded the officer in the van at "high speed," and fled the vehicle on foot after crashing the vehicle. Police believe Brown may have significantly injured himself in the crash. Brown is wanted on felony charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm and misdemeanor charges of recklessly endangering another person and reckless driving.
