Phoenix, Talent will host separate citywide yard sales The cities of Phoenix and Talent are hosting citywide yard sales on May 8. In Phoenix, maps showing the locations of all the sales will be available after 7 a.m. on the day of the event at 927 N. Rose St., No. A. Phoenix participants are asked to call Betty Cox at 535-3092 to sign up. There is no charge for Saturday sales. Those wishing to continue their sale on Sunday will be charged $1 by the city. In lieu of yard sale signs, helium-filled balloons may be picked up to mark the spot at Bateman's Tax Service, 457 Bear Creek Drive after 7:30 a.m. on May 8. In Talent, maps showing the locations of all that city's sales will be available on the day of the event at Talent Hardware, Rick's Market and the bulletin board in front of City Hall. Participants are asked to call Talent city planner Nancy Slocum at 535-4119 by May 5 to get their sale included on the map.
