Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Apr. 14, 2015 at 3:16 PM Posted Apr. 14, 2015 at 3:16 PM »  Social News NEWS TO KNOW President Barack Obama submitted a request to Congress today to have Cuba removed from the U.S. government’s list of state sponsors of terrorism, a list Cuba has been on since 1982. The move is expected to push forward plans to re-open embassies in Washington, D.C., and Havana. Congress has 45 days to pass a resolution to block the president’s decision, but pundits say it is unlikely Congress will manage to get enough votes to override a presidential veto. QUOTE OF NOTE “On advice of counsel, I hope you can appreciate that I cannot discuss the facts of the case. Those questions will be answered by my attorney in a court of law," Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha told the press earlier today. "I will simply say that I am in great pain, have experienced a significant injury, and that the injury was caused by the police." Sefalosha and his teammate, Pero Antic, were outside of a New York City nightclub last week when a fight broke out between other patrons. Indiana Pacers player Chris Copeland was stabbed in the skirmish, and Sefalosha’s ankle was broken while he was being arrested on charges of obstructing authorities and disorderly conduct. MUST-SEE VIDEO: Seal wanders onto San Diego high school campus A baby seal was spotted wandering around a San Diego-area high school campus earlier this week. The seal made a five-block journey to reach Mar Vista High School, where the school’s administration noticed him and called the local sheriff’s department.
