Horning helps carry Mustangs to win Prep boys basketball roundup PHOENIX -- Dereck Horning scored 21 points as Hidden Valley rallied from a first-quarter deficit to defeat Phoenix, 75-66, Friday night in a Skyline Conference boys basketball game. Andy Bartels led Phoenix with 24 points. The Pirates played without junior point guard Sean Murphy, who has a back injury. Phoenix fell to 0-3 in the Skyline and 5-7 overall. Jeff Jentzsch scored a game-high 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting while adding 12 rebounds for Rogue River (2-11, 0-3 Skyline).
