Olivia Lethlean was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, Tra Kucera 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Grace Jovanovic 2-for-4 for the Black Tornado (9-4, 8-2 SWC), which finished with 12 hits. North fell to league-leader Grants Pass, 4-3 and 1-0 in 10 innings, last Saturday. Sarah Thomas improved to 7-2 after allowing four hits, one run and two walks and fanning four in three innings of work against the Wolverines (3-8, 2-8). Marina Hall had a two-run home run and Kobie Gibson added a bases-clearing double for the Chieftains (7-4, 1-0 SCL) during their outburst. Alyssa Sands allowed three first-inning runs on four hits, one walk and struck out six for the Chieftains. She also finished 3-for-3 with three RBIs.
