Boulanger has marquee day at GP Downs By Kris Henry of the Mail Tribune Jun 29, 2019 07:03 PM A A GRANTS PASS — Brandon Boulanger was the big winner in more ways than one Saturday, leading all jockeys with three victories and seeing two of those come in the marquee horse races of the day in front of 2,165 at Grants Pass Downs. Boulanger was aboard Dusalut when it won the second of eight races Saturday, then guided Tilltheluvrunsout and Dans Diamond to headline triumphs in the fourth and seventh races, respectively, to finish as the day’s top jockey. Tilltheluvrunsout won by a head over Luckrules in the Miss Josephine County Stakes fourth race for its second win of the summer. Luckrules won the same featured event one year ago. In the OTOBA Grants Pass Stakes race, Boulanger once again turned in a narrow victory when Dans Diamond won by a neck over Racing Ray for the first win in the career of the 10-year-old horse. Racing resumes at 1 p.m Sunday on Military Appreciation Day. All current and former members of the armed forces gain free admission.
