Jackson County sheriff’s deputies Sunday arrested Tapia on charges of felony fourth-degree assault and harassment. She was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on her own recognizance. Assault — Terry Wayne Kewley, 39, of the 300 block of East 12th Street, Medford. Medford police late Sunday arrested Kewley on charges of felony fourth-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, first-degree criminal mistreatment, strangulation and harassment. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday after posting bail. Sex offender — Marvin Lee Roberts, 45, of the 3800 block of North River Road, Rogue River. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies Monday arrested Roberts on charges of failing to register as a sex offender and failing to register as a sex offender on his birthday. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $9,000 bail. Sex offender — Duane Ronald Bell, 51, of the 500 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Bell on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was held Monday in lieu of $15,000 bail. Burglary — Nicholas Michael Vanderkley, 21, no address available. Ashland police Monday arrested Vanderkley on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, harassment, interfering with a police report and failing to pay a fine for a previous conviction of furnishing liquor to a minor. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail in lieu of more than $1 million bail. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 133 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its court-ordered cap of 230 inmates. Of those, 59 were released before their scheduled court appearances, 35 were granted an early release from a sentence and 39 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
