"We feel like we were targeted because of that," said Jeanne Legrand, co-owner of the vintage store. "Someone knew we had the cash box here and that’s what they were targeting." The burglary occurred on the night of Dec. 16. Someone broke into Municipal Court Judge Allen Drescher’s office, which shares a wall with the clothing store, and cut a 17-inch hole through sheet rock. Besides stealing Camelot’s ticket money, the burglar took nearly $100 from the store’s cash register. Camelot’s loss represented 40 tickets sold to "Carnival," its current production. Livia Genise, Camelot’s artistic managing director, said the owners of JeanneLouise "are absolutely wonderful people and we have really enjoyed working with them. It’s a real shame that this happened." Legrand said she was no longer comfortable with having another business’s cash in the store. "We felt it was too great a risk for both of us," she said. Legrand plans to beef up security at the store, which has had no other break-ins since it opened two years ago. Advertisement Camelot Theatre will sell tickets at its box office in Talent and at the Medford Grocery Outlet. Genise doesn’t believe closing the Ashland outlet will affect ticket sales, as most patrons want reserve seats that are only available at the box office. "Of course we’re going to stay open and the show is doing really well, but for a small business, $600 is a lot of money," Genise said. Neither the theater nor the clothing store had insurance that would cover the loss.
