Timmerman knocked in all four runs during a 4-3 win in the opener, and the Mustangs completed Area 4 play with a 7-2 victory in Game 2. Matt Skundrick went the distance for his eighth pitching win of the season in the opener, then added two hits in the nightcap. Medford finishes up regular-season play on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. non-league game at North Jackson in Eagle Point. Basketball OREGON I.C.E. — At Las Vegas, Nev., Ryan Fiegi of South Medford High has helped a team of Oregon 16- under basketball players go 2-1 in the Grand Finale Tournament. Despite a 76-65 loss to Pennsylvania Monday, in which Fiegi had five points and five rebounds, Oregon won its four-team pool based on tiebreakers. Earlier, Oregon downed Colorado, 66-42, and Santa Margarita, Calif., 56-40. Fiegi had 14 points and eight rebounds against Colorado, and nine points against Santa Margarita. Oregon plays Mater Dei of Santa Ana, Calif., in the quarterfinals today.
