A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Slover early Friday on charges of being a sex offender who failed to register his address and birthday. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Friday night on $9,000 bail. Drugs — Charles Douglas Humphrey, 47, no address listed. Central Point police arrested Humphrey Friday on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Jason Curtis Peters, 26, of the 100 block of Kenwood Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Peters on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night on $5,000 bail. Theft — James Edward May, 19, of the 7500 block of Highbanks Road, Central Point. Medford police arrested May Friday on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of amphetamines and being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night on $40,000 bail. Drugs — Juan Ramon Herrera-Ramos, 21, of the first block of North Columbus Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Herrera-Ramos Friday on charges of manufacture of amphetamines, two counts of delivery of amphetamines and two counts of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night on $40,000 bail. Drugs — Jose Antonio Barbajas-Sandoval, 29, of the 300 block of Ojara Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Barbajas-Sandoval Friday on charges of possession of amphetamines, being an illegal alien and parole violation in California. He was jailed without bail. Drugs — Charles Joseph Ryan, 27, of the 100 block of C Street, Phoenix. Talent police arrested Ryan Friday on a warrant charging him with being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was also booked into jail on a possession of amphetamines charge he had appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court on earlier this month. He remained in jail Friday night on $6,000 bail. Theft — Carey Lee Hallen, 36, of Salem. Friday on Central Avenue, Medford police spotted a blue 1991 Geo Metro that had been reported stolen in Yamhill County. When officers approached the empty car, Hallen came out of a nearby business and was arrested on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and parole violation in Marion County. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night without bail. Assault — Tom Marlow Bair, 44, no address listed. Ashland police arrested Bair Friday on charges of felony fourth-degree assault and interfering with a police report. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night on $9,000 bail. Crime reports Burglary — 2000 block of East McAndrews Road, Medford. Medford police took a report Thursday of a burglary in which $600 worth of tools were reportedly stolen. Theft — Auburn and Union streets, Ashland. Ashland police took a report of a theft of a Sony Diskman and 200 compact disks with a total estimated value of $3,500.
