Washington, a 6-foot-7 junior from Springfield, converted 10 of 15 shots en route to 29 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to help the Raiders (8-6, 5-1) win their fourth straight. "(Cascade) just didn’t have any inside presence or anyone to guard him in there," said SOU head coach Brian McDermott. SOU, which rumbled to a 54-34 halftime edge, continued its recent red-hot shooting by canning 30 of 52 shots (58 percent) to go along with a 35-20 rebounding edge. Women’s Basketball CASCADE 82, SOUTHERN OREGON 76 — At Portland, Southern Oregon’s aspirations for its first win streak of the season were dashed in a Cascade Conference setback at Cascade College. A night after scoring 25 in a 71-54 victory at Warner Pacific, Peterson shot 12 of 16 for a game-best 30 points to go along with six rebounds. The Raiders, however, missed 10 of 20 free throw tries, and Cascade, which led 41-33 at halftime, shot a sizzling 53 percent for the game (32 of 60) to keep SOU at bay. Junior guard Courtney Bothum finished with 26 points and five assists for SOU, which converted 30 of 66 field goal attempts (46 percent).
