Absentee voters better turn in their ballots soon If you vote absentee, the deadline is looming to get your ballot back in. Out of the more than 31,000 absentee ballots issued by the Jackson County Elections Department, 7,922 had been returned Thursday. To ensure ballots get to the department by 8 p.m. Tuesday, voters are encouraged to use the official drop sites listed here: Elections department, 10 S. Oakdale Ave. Room 216; payment drop box available 24 hours a day. Elections office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ashland Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.; open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday; until 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Central Point Library, 226 E. Pine St.; open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Eagle Point Library, 158 W. Main St.; open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Saturday and Monday; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Jacksonville Library, 170 S. Oregon St.; open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today; noon to 6 p.m. Monday; noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Phoenix Library, 110 W. 2nd St.; open 1 to 5 p.m. today; 1-7 p.m. Monday; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
