The Mustangs (14-1) unleashed 16 hits and held Fairfield to just four during a 12-2, seven-inning romp on Tuesday at Miles Field. Evan McArthur slammed a two-run homer during a four-run fourth inning as Medford pulled away from a slim 3-1 lead. The Mustangs scored five more times in the bottom of the seventh to halt the scheduled nine-inning affair due to the 10-run mercy rule. Mike Allen and Jimmy Ulrey each went 3-for-5 with two RBIs, while Ryan Heil and McArthur added two hits and two RBIs apiece.
