Schools offer free lunches for summer Classes are out, but cafeteria fare continues as area school districts and other agencies sponsor free meal programs at several area schools. In Medford , simple breakfasts and single-entree lunches will be served free of charge to children ages 1 to 18 at the following sites: Howard Elementary School , 286 Mace Road, Medford. June 21 to Aug. 20, breakfast served from 8 to 9 a.m.; lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jackson Elementary School , 630 W. Jackson St., Medford. June 21 to Aug. 20, breakfast served from 8 to 9 a.m.; lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Roosevelet Elementary School , 112 Lindley St., Medford. June 21 to Aug. 20, breakfast served 8 to 9 a.m.; lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. South Medford High School , 815 S. Oakdale Ave., Medford. June 21 to Aug. 20, breakfast served 8 to 9 a.m.; lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oak Grove Elementary School , 2838 Jacksonville Highway, Medford. July 26 to Aug. 12, Monday through Thursday only, lunch served 11 a.m. to noon. Jefferson Elementary School , 333 Holmes Ave., Medford. July 19 to 29, Monday through Thursday only, lunch served 11 a.m. to noon. Wilson Elementary School , 1400 Johnson St., Medford. Aug. 9 to 19, Monday through Thursday only, lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No meals will be served Monday, July 5. In the Phoenix/Talent school district, free meals will be served for children younger than 19 at the following sites: Phoenix Elementary School , 215 N. Rose St., Phoenix. June 21 through Aug. 13, breakfast served 8 to 9 a.m.; lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Orchard Hill Elementary School , 1011 La Loma Dr., Medford. Aug. 2 to 13, lunch served 11 a.m. to noon. Talent Elementary School , 307 W. Wagner Creek Rd., Talent. June 21 through Aug. 13, breakfast served 8 to 9 a.m.; lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In Central Point and Gold Hill , free meals will be available for youngsters under 19 at the following locations: Jewett Elementary School , 1001 Manzanita St., Central Point. June 21 through July 16, breakfast served 8 to 8:30 a.m.; lunch served 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No meals will be served July 5. Patrick Elementary School , 1500 Second Ave., Gold Hill. June 21 through July 16, breakfast served 8 to 8:30 a.m.; lunch served 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No meals will be served July 5. Also, free lunches for children will be available at White City Elementary School,2830 Maple Court from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on weekdays June 21 through Aug. 13. The ACCESS program will also provide sack lunches for children participating in Boys and Girls Club activities in White City during the same time period. Youth under 19 are eligible at both sites.
