COVID-19 threat forces AIFF to change plans By John Darling for the Ashland Tidings Mar 12, 2020 01:03 PM A A Because of Coronavirus and Gov. Kate Brown’s ban on gatherings of more than 250 people, the Ashland Independent Film Festival, slated April 16-20, has been scrubbed. The AIFF Board is to meet Thursday evening to strategize alternate plans, which will be released in coming days, said Executive Director Richard Herskowitz. The popular four-day festival, now in its 19th year, is a highlight of Ashland’s social and artistic year and represents a significant financial contribution to the city’s economy.
