दलों ने हाल ही में सम्पन्न चनांवों के
सिलसिले में अपने चनाव भाषणों का
आकापांवाणों से प्रसारण करवाते में ग्राचार
संहिता का उल्लंघन किया है;
(@) यदि हां, तो क्या ऐसे कार्यक्रमों को परत्तारण
से पहले सरकार द्वारा पूर्ण रूप से सेंसर
किया था; और
(ग) यदि हां, तो उसका ब्योरा sat यदि
नहीं तो, उसके क्या कारण हैं!

FM TRANSMITTERS IN THE
COUNTRY

Will the Minis'er of INFORMATION
AND BROADCASTING be pleased to
refer to answer to Unstarred Question
549. given in the Rajya Sabha on 7th
December, 993 and state :
(a) whether it is a fact that AIR has
about HO FM Transmitters in all major
utban areas in the country where FM
Stereophonic radio broadcasting is ayail-
able; and
(b) if so, the extent to which it will
be helpful in radio paging service १:

DEO) : (a) No, Sir. AIR has at present
only 73 FM transmitters. While all these
transmitters are compatipie for Stereo

phonic radio broadcasting, at present only
the transmitters at Delhi, Bombay and
Madras are providing seterecphonic
broadcasting.
(b) The existing network of FM trans
milters will hasten the jntroduction of
radio paging service in the country.

(a) what is the number of Dailies being
published from Gujarat and the languages
in which these are being published:
(b) the number of such publishers who
have claimed the circulation of more
than fifleen thousand copies ;
(c) the number of those Dailies to
which news print quota bas been samc-
tioned;
(d) the number of those Dailies in
regularly by the Directorate of Audio
which advertisements are being published

THE MINISTER OF STATE OF THE

DEO) : (a) 77 dailies are being publish-
ed from Gujarat, as on 3-2-992. Out of
these, 65 are published in Gujarati, aix in
English, five in Hindi and one in Sindhi
(b) 33 dales have claimed circulation
of more thaw 45000 copies per iasuc, as
on 3-2-92.

40 dailies.
Quota was allotted to
(d) and (६) 54 Dailies published from
Gujarat are on DAVP’s approved panel
for issue of advertisements, as on 8-2-93.
Out of these, 4] are Gujarati dailies,
| seven Hindi dailies five English dailies
five English dailies and one Sindhi daily.
