USO DELLA MACCHINA USING THE MACHINE
The radial saw is suitable for transverse cuts in a variety of positions. Thanks to the
possibility of adjusting and tilting the position of the cutting unit with respect to its
vertical and horizontal axes, it is ideal for both simple and composite cuts. It is very
easy to use: simply adjust the height of the machine and of its guards in accord-
ance to the thickness of the workpiece and type of cut to execute. Then it is ES-
SENTIAL to rest the workpiece against the fence. When the kind of operation al-
lows, rest the wider surface of the workpiece on the work bench. You can now start
the cutting operation by starting up the blade and releasing the cutting unit with the
release lever. Pull the cutting unit towards yourself and start cutting. After the cut
has been completed, move the cutting unit to its idle position. Turn off the motor.

possono sviluppare vapori infiammabili oppure vapori tossici.
zate, piccole incrinature o deformazioni localizzate.
There are three main factors which impair cutting performance:
1. Surface encrustation.
2. Alteration of the shape or structure of the cutting edges.
3. Normal wear.
Surface encrustation is caused by the presence of resin in the wood which, when heated by the
action of the blade, forms a patina to which wood particles become stuck. Blades should be cleaned
at least once a week using solvents capable of softening this patina. The use of mechanical means
to remove the encrustation, such as metal blades, spatulas or abrasives of any type, should be
avoided if possible. Commercial cleaning liquids specifically for this purpose are available; alternatively
a weak solution of water and caustic soda may be used. Never use acid solutions, as they can
produce flammable and toxic vapours.
Alterations to the shape or structure of the cutting edges are mainly due to local fractures, small
cracks or local deformation. Tools with any such defects must not be used.
The normal wear of the cutting edge is caused by rounding through the repeated penetration of the
tool in the wood. Worn tools must be sharpened correctly to restore the correct geometry of the
cutting edges.
