Goal 2: Prepare for Projected Climate Change Impacts Ashland will experience varying impacts of climate change at different times. Some of the impacts are already being felt, including lower snowpack and more smoke and heat in the summer.5 As climate changes our environment and its systems and resources, Ashland will need to anticipate the changes and take action to mitigate or adapt to the impacts. This goal calls for Ashland to recognize these climate change threats and take actions to ensure that Ashland can withstand the impacts while sustaining or improving quality of life for all its citizens.
