Are U.S. sanctions having an impact on Iran?
Prior to President Donald Trump's decision to
withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA),
critics argued that U.S. sanctions against Iran
would not be effective unless the other
signatories to the agreement went along.
Doomsayers said unilateral sanctions would
not hurt Iran because other countries would
work around them. While the critics were
correct in predicting no other country would
join the U.S. in reimposing sanctions (ignoring punitive measures EU
countries took following attempted Iranian terror attacks on their soil),

"Teflon Antisemites"
by Mitchell Bard
Antisemites don't get to determine who or what
is antisemitic.
Suggesting that Jews have dual loyalty to
Israel, that members of Congress are beholden
to Israel and Jewish donors, that AIPAC bribes
politicians to support Israel, or that "Israel has
hypnotized the world" is antisemitic.
Supporting the BDS campaign, which seeks to
destroy Israel and deny the Jewish people the same right to self-
determination claimed for the Palestinians, is antisemitic.

related to the pope and the Holocaust,
Pope Francis announced on March 3,
2019, that they would be made
accessible in March 2020.

Elections to the 21st Knesset
On December 24, 2018, Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu called for early
elections, which are scheduled to take
place on April 9, 2019.
The main reason was the likely collapse
of the government because of the
opposition of religious parties in his
coalition to a Supreme Court decision
that required the government to
formulate a plan for the conscription of
ultra-Orthodox Jews currently exempt
from army service.
