The system is controlled through the Honeywell Multi-Function Radar Display on the instrument
panel. Features include: 200 nautical mile radius detection area; three Lightning Rate
Occurrence Symbols - each symbol (rate one, two and three) represents the center of an 18-mile
diameter area of lightning activity for the last two minutes; Lightning Alert - places a magenta 'rate
one' symbol near the outer range mark of the display, at the proper bearing, for each lightning
flash; computer can track up to fifty (50) individual lightning rate symbols; Geographic
Stabilization - heading and velocity inputted to keep the rate symbol over the same geographic
location; 360° viewing area when radar is in standby. Control functions: OFF - removes all power

The Garmin GMX 200 is a fully integrated Multi-
Function Display. The system consists of a large
color AMLCD display that expands a full 6.5"
diagonally, 640 x 480 pixels, 65,536 different color
combinations, enhanced backlighting that
dramatically improves color and contrast, resulting in
chart depictions and images that are brighter and
more vivid in all lighting conditions. At a glance, see
your aircraft's position relative to terrain, obstructions,
weather, airways, navaids, restricted airspace and
more, select between several charting options and
easily add or remove details with the simple press of
a soft key, rotary knob allows for quicker map scale
changes and entry of data, front loading SD card-slot allows for expanded memory and makes
loading updated charts uncomplicated. Unit is faster with 650 MHz processing speed and 256
MB memory for higher map detail. A custom map function is available which allows the user to
create a display for almost any configuration required, offering extensive overlay capabilities. The
GMX 200 includes high resolution terrain and hydrography data for the entire world which is
prebaded for an unmatched presentation even at the lower zoom scales. The Garmin Base Map
with cities, roads, rivers, and lakes has been added to further improve situational awareness. An
aviation database featuring Jeppesen® NavDate" is used to draw airports, airways, navaids,
airspace, and more. Map scales range from one-fourth of a mile to 2500 miles. A unique split
screen function allows you to simultaneously view two charting options along with the vertical
profile for the elevation of the terrain along the route of flight. The GMX 200 utilizes position
information from the aircraft's FMS system for moving map features. The GMX 200 also provides
for the display of charts.

JeppView functions are based on the popular Jeppesen Electronic Airway Manual Service.
Familiar Jeppesen instrument approach charts and airport-surface diagrams are viewed with the
aircraft position overlaid on the GMX 200 high-resolution color display. Additionally, JeppView

displays Standard Instrument Departure and Arrival charts (SIDs and STARs). Charts are
available through Jeppesen's JeppView for GMX 200 data subscription service. On departure,
the GMX 200 with Chart View displays the airport surface map, including all runways and
taxiways. After takeoff, the GMX 200 automatically transitions to the en-route chart, which
depicts airways, airspace, terrain. navaids, rivers, lakes and highways. Within the terminal area
of the destination airport, the GMX 200 transitions to the selected instrument approach plate --
complete with procedure turns and holding patterns. Once the aircraft has approached the
runway and ground speed has slowed to 50 knots, the aircraft symbol is displayed on a moving
map of the airport surface.

main gearbox. This system absorbs lateral vibrations, making for a smoother ride.
86052 Bifilar 5P
The 5P Bifilar vibration absorber consists of a four armed, cross-shaped aluminum forging. Each
arm has an independent weight assembly attached through two pendulum -type pivot points. The
weights are secured to the pivot pints by bolts which clamp spacers against two tapered washers.
The tapered washers center the weights against the contact surfaces during rotor operation and
give vertical support under static conditions. It is secured above the 3-P Bifilar on the rotor mast
and is used to suppress 4/Rev in level flight and during translation. The Bifilar vibration absorber
uses the concept of in-plane pendular dynamics weights which generates internal forces in
opposition to the blade forces. Use of the rotating system centrifugal force field as the restoring
force on the pendulum provides constant tuning throughout the rotor operating range. The 4P
airframe vertical and roll vibrations are, in large part caused by the rotor 5P in-plane vibratory
loads in the rotating system. The 5P Bifilar is turned to counteract and cancel the vibratory forces
at their source, the main rotor, before they can reach the airframe. The 5P Bifilar also reduces
the 4P airframe vibrations generated during translational lift.
86054 Track and Balance Accelerometers Installed in Fuel Cell Extension
Installs cabin RH vertical and cabin LH vertical track and balance accelerometers in the fuel cell
extension for measurements by the operator. Baseline aircraft has 5 accelerometers: Pilot heel

AWLS HEAT ON annunciator (green color legend) is activated in the pilot and copilot Performance
Displays of the IIDS that is tied to the pilot and copilot windshield heat current sensors. The light

Sikorsky Emergency Floats system for air operations over and around water. System includes:
urethane coated nylon bags (four), helium (or nitrogen) filled 300 psi float bottles (four), float
bottle covers (two in cockpit) with Velcro attached access doors which contain a clear plastic sight
gage window, indicator/test switch panel, OFF/ARMED switch (overhead switch panel), FLOATS
firing switch on cyclic (two). annunciator - FLOATS ARMED; aircraft plumbing, and wiring.
Features include: floatation bags are packed inside left and right compartments within the nose of
the aircraft and on the main landing gear doors - protected from external damage; bags do not
affect flight performance or cruising speed; redundant inflation and compartmentation - two
spheres supply the front bags: the other two supply the rear bags; electrical power is supplied by
both the DC ESS BUS and NO 2 DC PRI BUS. Upon inflation each bag reaches an operating
pressure of 0.75 to 3.5 psi.

Weight and Balance for a single pilot is addressed in the design with the placement of remote
