Could barely hear it on maximum volume. - must be bad amps for the speakers - measured the area for the new rack - looked at klipsch speakers for replacing and upgrading - inspected cabling for possible upgrades - got info for new proposal I will email you on the new gear and proposal as soon as possible. Because some considered it a "portable" and more affordable version of the revolutionary KlipschornO, the La Scala found success beyond the campaign. Despite its raw, unfinished appearance, the fully horn- loaded, three-way La Scala sounded so good people still wanted to put it in their living rooms. Remaining virtually unchanged since those early campaign days, Klipsch decided to cosmetically improve the raw-looking La Scala by totally redesigning the way the cabinet was constructed. The goal was to achieve a more finished appearance and improve cabinet rigidity. It is now available in a variety of high-quality wood veneer finishes, including cherry, walnut and black ash. The La Scala II also includes a grille to cover the mid and high frequency horns. The bass horn cabinet walls are now constructed of l-inch thick MDF rather than 3/4-inch plywood to offer more support, decrease resonance and deliver cleaner bass response. Even though the La Scala II adopts a more finished appearance, it still delivers the same sparkling highs, extreme output and unsurpassed low distortion bass response as the original design. This proposal is to replace the problem amplifiers, add better cabling to the system, add better power management to filter out any electrical noise, replacement speakers for the front Klipsch speakers, and an updated remote control. Adding these items will greater improve the audio fidelity of the system. The new cabling has built in shielding that is made to stop interference and noise from getting into the cable and through the speakers. The power management hardware is made to clean up electrical noises coming from the electrical system. This is especially needed in homes located in remote areas like this residence is. We are also going to use a lower wattage amplifier for your speakers. Klipsch recommended that we use a 150w to 200 w amp to power the speakers. This is reasonably lower than the amps you have now but is what is recommended from Klipsch.
