Positive Cities initiative, now a constituent part of the Davos Baukultur Alliance, has engaged with the World Economic Forum to identify ongoing nature-related efforts, pinpoint the main challenge areas impeding a successful nature-positive transition and define required actions to address them.
The champion cities are: San Francisco (US),
Barranquilla (Colombia), Belem do Pará (Brazil), Durban (South Africa) and Incheon (South Korea).About this paper
Following extensive engagement with the city of Barranquilla, this report aims to assess and illustrate the city’s greatest challenges, as well as barriers hindering radical progress towards being nature-positive, and potential solutions to overcome these challenges. The exemplary solutions are intended to spotlight innovative approaches and provide inspiration to city officials globally.
